Our History

Hard work and dedication - that's what it took MasTec Civil to grow into one of the premier transportation builders in the Southeast US. Under the management of a team of professionals absolutely proud of their contributions to our nation, our philosophy has empowered our employees to focus on customer needs thru the employment of trust and open communication. Our accomplishments have established our reputation of a company dedicated to service, partnering, and quality, building along the way a path of success and long lasting relationships:

RECOGNIZED PERFORMANCE - Our level of service and quality is consistently recognized by the industry, from the FTBA's BEST IN CONSTRUCTION AWARD in numerous projects thru our 2012 DBIA DESIGN-BUILD PROJECT OF THE YEAR

A CLEAN ENVIRONMENTAL RECORD - We believe in our inherent responsibility to protect and maintain our nation’s natural resources.  Thru the strict adherence to all project environmental requirements and attention to details, we build consciously and are proud of our GREEN clean record.

FINANCIAL STRENGTH - The development of proper controls and a responsible approach to managing business has allowed us to become the stable and resourceful company our clients need to be properly serviced.

BONDING CAPACITY - Our performance thru the years allows us today to enjoy ample bond coverage of $1 billion aggregate.

FLEXIBLE DELIVERY OF OUR SERVICES - Our earned experience in the delivery of projects thru various methods (e.g. design-bid-build, design-build, and design-build-finance) provides us the flexibility to adjust to market demands and customer needs.

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS - Great things happen when good people work together. In all our endeavors, we believe in building teams made up of individuals and companies that are willing to integrate efforts and strive for mutually benefitial goals.

In short, our actions speak louder than our words. Thru 35+ years, we have completed more than 25 high profile projects in Florida for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX), and several Miami Dade County agencies: from the Acosta Bridge Project in Jacksonville, FL in 1994 to the Palmetto Section 5 SR-826/SR-836 Project in Miami, FL in 2016. In addition, our remarkable job portfolio includes numerous signature bridge projects throughout the Eastern US, including the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal Bridge in Wilmington, Delaware in 1995 andthe Sidney Lanier Bridge Project in Brunswick, Georgia in 2001. Evidence of our ability to adjust to market changes, Condotte America was one of first Floridian contractors to embrace the design-build market in the US. Highlighting such experience in design-build are major projects including the Route 895 Richmond Connector (Pocahontas Parkway) Project in Virginia in 2002, and the Palmetto Section 5 (SR-862 / SR-836 Interhange) Project in Miami, Florida completed in 2016, one of the largest design-build-finance projects ever built in Florida.

Our success has allowed us to recently look for new horizons. We are currently pursuing business opportunities throughout the Southeastern US.

Our plans for the future are reminiscent of our history: We will continue to look for new challenges, to continue to earn the trust of old and new clients and partners, and to always find the opportunity to demonstrate that our success in the last 35 years did not come without sacrifice and dedication and the benefit of many well-learned lessons.
