The Improvements under this Contract consist of Rail Capacity Project Intersection improvement along NE 203 Street between SR 5/US-1 and West Dixie HWY in Miami Dade County.
MasTec Civil's serves as the Prime Contractor for this FDOT project. The scope includes the construction of the 2 new ramp bridges over the FEC rail line that carries the Brightline passenger train service. Deep foundations consisting of drilled shafts were implemented in this design. Also included in the scope is the pedestrian bridge and tunnel, MSE walls, embankment, asphalt, signalization, sign structures, signing and pavement markings. MasTec Civil implemented a cost saving initiative to the client that saved cost and time in the construction of the MSE walls by implementing an alterantive rock column soil stablization design.
