The HEFT Widening from Eureka Drive to SW 216th St Project, build for the Florida Turnpike District, consists of the widening of more than 6 miles of the HEFT corridor and includes the partial demolition and widening of 9 bridges and the construction of a new bridge, roadway widening on the median and outside of the northbound and southbound mainlines, and the corresponding reconstruction of new on and off ramps to accommodate the widened configuration of the mainline. Work includes lighting, signage, drainage, earthwork, asphalt paving, and ITS. The project also includes urban improvements to Eureka Drive, Quail Rooast Drive, South Dixie Highway, Caribbean Blvd, and Haimlin Drive including signalization and streescaping work.
