SR-826 at NW 103 St (Hialeah, FL)

This project included the necessary improvements at the intersection of the Palmetto Expressway and NW 103rd Street to provide eased access to and from local traffic in Hialeah, FL. The work included the construction of 4 bridges, retaining walls, roadway widening, embankment, asphalt paving, road signs, signalization and landscaping. The total project length was 2,445 meters. Construction was performed under existing, heavy traffic conditions and special circumstances as a result of the encroachment into the Westland Mall parking facility.

Bridge #1: SR 826 (Palmetto Expressway) over NW 103 Street; total length 70.77 meters, 2 spans

Bridge #2: SR 826 SB Ramp B and NB Ramp B over Little River Canal; total length 25.91 meters, 1 span.

Bridge #3: Ramp D Overpass SR 826; total length 418.35 meters, 11 spans

Bridge #4: SR 826 over W 60 Street; total length 32.31, 1 span.

Condotte America completed the project ahead of schedule earning an early completion bonus. The project was awarded the FTBA “Award for Best in Construction for Major Interchange”. The project was recognized in 2003 with the FTBA “Outstanding Major Bridge Project” award.
