MIA Noise Abatement Barrier (Miami-Dade, FL)

The project consisted of the design and construction of a new noise abatement barrier along NW 36th Street from NW 67th Avenue to NW 70th Avenue in Miami, Florida. The wall is approximately 5,600 feet in length with height ranging from20 feet to 38 feet. The barrier system is composed of precast concrete posts erected on augercast pilies with precast concrete panels connecting the vertical posts. The precast panels present an undulating pattern thereby creating a wave effect. Round colored glass panels were inserted in a random pattern in both faces of the concrete panels as a unique architectural feature.
